LONDON, June 18 (Received June 18, 7.30 p.m.)
A conference of Irish delegates to the National Union of Railwayman adopted a resolution that the present murders and outrages were inevitable as the result of the Government’s policy of not governing Ireland in accordance with the wishes of the people. The resolution added; “We condemn outrages by all parties, and appeal to the Irish people to protect human life and property. We appeal to the Government to prevent provocation by sending munitions to Ireland.”
The resolution asks Mr Lloyd George to receive an Irish deputation to-morrow which maj’ make proposals enabling a solution to be reached.
