(Received June 17, 9.5 p.m.) The New York World lias received a telegram from Mr Parsons stating, "On the Ventura leaving Honolulu, a hand on the nock played, "God Save the King 1 and "Anicrica.’' The passengers stood at attention with Ixiwed heads, but Archbishop Mannix remained seated. "The band then played "The Star .Spangled Banner.” The passengers stood at attention, but Archbishop Mannix remained sealed. "I then approached Dr Mannix and asked him whether he realised that the band was playing the American anthem. Dr Mannix replied in (he affirmative. "I then said 'Why don’t you rise?’ He replied lhat lie didn't care to. ‘‘A number nf passengers held a meeting and sent a radiogram to Mr Colby on June 3, signed by eleven Americans.”
