GRAND TRUNK RAILWAY
CANADIAN ARBITRATION. MR TAFT ASKED TO ACT. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, June 14. The New York Times’s Ottawa correspondent states that it is understood that the Canadian Government has asked Mr Taft to represent it on the Grand Trunk Arbitration Court to determine the value of first, second, anrl third preference and common stock? in the Grand Trunk Railwav. It is said that the choice of Mr Taft is for the purpose of assuring English stockholders that the Canadian Government is anxious to secure the most impartial arbitrator.
