Mr Lloyd stated that the Committee of Imperial Defence was constituted so as to enable it. to deal with co ordinal ion ot the sea., land and air defet.ee of the Empire by experts from the three services attending meetings of the committee as required. He hoped the meeting* would be hj: Id shortly. ENTOMOLOGICAL CONFERENCE. IMPERIAL BUREAL' ESTABLISHED. LONDON, June 12. The final meeting of the Imperial Entomological Conference, Mr Hareourt presiding passed a resolution in favour of holding a similar conference in London every five years. It. established an Imperial bureau of Entomology on a permanent basis, recommending that the contnoutory Governments should guarantee contribution? towards the provision of the total income of £3OOO.
