RESERVED JUDGMENTS. Mr G. Cruickshank, S.M., yesterday morning pave his reserved decision in a casa which came on for hearing about three montlxs ago and in which the Public Trustee sought to recover from Albert Saunders the sum of £los,allotment money. The Magistrate stated that he had reviewed the evidence and was satisfied that the plaintiff must succeed, as there was nothing to show that the money had been a gift to the defendant. Judgment was for the amount claimed, with costs amounting to £lO 2s. Mr 11. Macalisler appeared for the plaintiff and Mr Meredith for the defendant, Eli EE? WORRYING CASE, Judgment was also given in a case in which Andrew Baird claimed £49 from Fosbery liandyside as damages for sheep alleged to have been worried by the defendant’s dog. The statement of claim eet out that in February, the sheep, which were grazing on the municipal golf links, were worried by the defendant s dog, with the result that 17 sheep had died while further damage had been caused to the remainder of the flock. The Magistrate gave judgment for the plaintiff for £4O, with costs amounting to £5 18s. Mr H, Macalister appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Longuet for the defendant.
