AN AUCKLAND BURGLAR
BRISK CAREER ENDED. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 9. At the Police Court Arthur Symonds, 21, who arrived from Wellington six weeks ago, admitted that he had since lived on the proceeds of thefts. Ho had broken into six Auckland warehouses and stolen petty cash, in one instance £lO, in addition to cheques j and promissory notes for £250, which he did not attempt to rash. He committed two purglaries in fine night. lie was found on the premises of the Totara Timber Company when a workman arrived at 7 o’clock in the morning. He was arrested and pleaded guilty ; and was committed for sentence. In the 1 meantime he has been sent to Palmerston I North to answer four burglary charges. |
