MUNITIONS AT CORK. PORT OFFICIALS OBSTRUCTION. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (The Times.) DUBLIN, June 8. Munitions are hurriedly arriving in Cork harbour. The Commissioners refused to unlock the big cranes for an armed transport and utdoading of military lorries. The soldiers broke the locks and commenced unloading, but made little progress in the absence of the dockers. The railway strikers have not yet returned. At Limerick the workers refused to handle coal intended for the Constabulary. The constables unloading it were protected by an armed escort. Dublin advices state that the new military patrol is bearing fruit, as military intervention frustrated an attack on the Constabulary barracks at Brosna, County Kerry. PUNISHMENT OF CRIME. THE GOVERNMENT’S DETERMINATION (Reuter’s Telegrams.) LONDON, June 7. In the House of Connuo; f, replying to Mr T. Donald, Mr Lloyd George emphasised that the Government intended to take steps to bring to justice all persons associated with crime in Ireland. The Government in this connection were organising the Irish Executive and strengthening the police and naval and military forces in Ireland. It would probably also be necessary to strengthen the law for dealing with crime. The Government intended to put down the present organised campaign of murder and assassination. (Received June 9, 7.30 p.m.) De Valera has written to the Irish Vigilance Association stating that he is shortly leaving America, and will visit England, “because it is due to the loyalty and co-opera-tion of my friends in England that I should call personally and deliver my message.
