ENTERTAINMENTS

ALBION THEATRE

“GO WEST YOUNG MAN.”

Handsome Tom Moore makes his final appearance in the dashing romance “Go West Voting Man’ 5 to-iught at t.15 and 9 o clock. Praise from all sides has been showered upon this production and we can heartily recommend it for anyone in search of a pleasant, evening’s entertainment. On the same programme is the latest; episode of “The Man of Might” and other subjects. A scream in six reels from the funniest stage play ever seen is the attraction entitled "A Pair of Sixs,” starring the American comedian Taylor Holmes, for Wednesday. The story is of the funniest contract ever made. Iwo partners in a successful pill business both claimed the success-- they couldn’t agree —so the contract was born. Each one said of hi* partner that half (he time he didn’t know what ho was talking about, and the other half he talked about what he didn’t know. A noker hand decided the contract —the maa who won was to run the business his way for a year, ami the loser was to be his valet and household servant —and the best hand was “a jiair of sixes.” Then the fun started. Every lime the loser was disrespectful it cost him 100 dollars, and if either of them, or the wife of one party told, it would cost him 5000 dollars. The bill for disrespect soon mounted up, but that’s not the worst —he had a girl, and she couldn’t lie told the truth, so when she asked for explanations he couldn’t open his mouth —it would cost too much-—and so the game went on. Critic* have endorsed the play. Other pleasing subjects compose the balance of the programme. Seats may be reserved by telephoning the Albion.

CIVIC PICTURES. TWO FEATURES TO-NIGHT. Those who have, so far, been unable to see the very fine double-feature programme now showing in the Municipal Theatre, should on no account miss the final opportunity to-night. The big Fox masterpiece, “The Woman and the Law,” in seven thrilling reels, is one of the most stupendous productions ever shown; the court scene* at the conclusion being the most realistic yet, and the story is one of most absorbing interest. \ iola Dana is the star in th* second feature, entitled. “The Microbe,’’— a delightfully humourous, whimsical and hean-api'eallng romance. The support* arc very good and the Civic Orchestra's music, as usual, excellent. “PARAMOUNT DOUBLE-STAR NIGHT* TOMORROW. A very powerful all-Paramount doublestar programme has been secured for tomorrow night, when Wallace Retd will appear in ou re hired,” anti Ethel Clayton will take the lead in “Vicky Van,” —two of the finest Paramount star pictures yet seen. The Mack Fennell 2000 ft comedy "Salome Shenandoah” is claimed to be the very funniest ever made by this well-known company. Other excellent supports complete a very fine bill, which should not fail to draw' a large attendance. Seals may be booked at Begg’s.
