The Undcr-Secretary of State, Mr Polk, has resigned and President Wilson has accepted his resignation. CAUSE OF RESIGNATION. WASHINGTON, June 4. (Received June G, 5.5 p.m.) Owing to differences with Mr Colby, the Secretary of State, Mr Polk resigned. His health is given as the ostensible reason for the resignation. Mr Polk is the third official to resign from the State Department during the present year.
