THE R.S.A.
OPENING THE DOORS. ADMISSION OF VETERANS. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 4. An important decision was reached by the Conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association when, on the recommendation of the Auckland brunch, it was unanimously resolved that British veterans of former wars should be admitted as active members of the Association. In support of the remit it was urged that now that the soldiers of the Great War had had an opportunity of being repatriated, it-was only right that a cordial welcome should be extended to the British veterans of other wars. . Mr E. F. Andrews (Auckland) said that oil South African veterans who were able had taken part in the Great 'War. There were veterans of other wars than the great war who would be proud to wear the badge of the Association, and an opportunity should be accorded them to do so.
