ANNUAL MEETING AT RIVERTON. The annua! meeting of the Wallace Licensing Committee held at the Riverton Police Court yesterday was attended by Messrs G. Cniiekshank, S.M. (chairman'. L. W. Petchell, John Horrell, E. J. S,evens, A. Uulnian, and W. Templeton. RENEWAL OF LICENSES. Accommodation licenses were granted as follow :■—James Constantine Olive, Long ridge Hotel. Balfour; Samuel But.-on junr., Parawa Juneriiui Hotel, Parawa; George Francis O’Connor, All Nations Hot*?!, V> rey - Bush; James O'Brien, Benmore Hotel, Benmore; William John Thompson. Key of the Ltikes Hotel, Mararoa : Ernest Charles Govan, To Allan Hotel, le Anau. OTHER APPLICATIONS. The application of John Petchell, Riverton, for a wholesal" license was granted. An application by M. O'Brien, licensee of the Crown Hotel, Otautau, for an extension of time in which to carry on business in temporary premises was granted subject to improved accommodation being provided by the licensee. , An application by T. *b Laffey for the right to transfer the Aparima Hotel to Arthur Cribb was granted. The applications of Colin Aitcneson, licensee of the Shamrock Hotel, Eairfax, and William Mount Buddie, licensee of the Great Western Hotel. Riverton, for the renewal of publicans’ licenses were adjourned for three months, the applicants to have their premises repaired.
