On May 2fi the Board of Trade fixed the wholesale pr;ec of milk at Is 3d per gallon, and, according to the chairman of the Dairymen’s Association, wished to extract a promise from them that this price would not be exceeded. The association sent the following telegram to the chairman of the Board of Trade; ‘‘The Dairymen's Association consider the Board's decision is not in accordance with (he weight of evidence given. Would you he prepared to give facilities for further enquiry immediately?
