BOARD OF TRADE’S WORK AN EFFECTIVE CHECK (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 26. Touching on the work of the Board of Trade, Mr Massey said to-day that through their control a very effective check had been imposed on the prices of essential lines. The Board had in hand two very important investigations dealing with the prices of woollen goods and clothing and leather manufactured goods. He paid a tribute to the work of the local tribunals, and mentioned that several charges of profiteering were pending.
