INVERCARGILL COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.

To the Editor. Sir,—Some time ago I saw a letter in your columns re the above Society urging them to revive their annual festival, and being interested, I have waited in vain for any signs of activity from the Competitions executive. I have heard that some of the committee are against holding the session, but I would respectfully suggest to these gentlemen that if they cannot see their way to spare the time and energy necessary, the correct procedure would be to convene a meeting and allow those who are willing and anxious to assist to be appointed to the committee, thereby getting a band of willing workers together. ■ Trusting the above suggestion will be carried out.—l am, etc., INTERESTED.
