Y.M.C.A. CAMERA CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above club was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Thursday evening, when Mr A. M. Macdonald presided over an attendance of about 25 members. The report and balance sheet were adopted and the following office-bearers elected for the ensuing year, viz.;—Patron, Mr C. S. Longuet; president, Mr W. J. Ferguson ; vice-presidents, Messrs A. M. Macdonald and J. Crosby Smith; hon. judge, Mr R. A. Edwards; committee, Messrs W. H. Berry, G. Reed, F. McGrath, W. Morrison, j. Thom and E. H. Whitmore; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. Lyon; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mias M. Potter. The following new members were elected; —Miss Coster, Miss McKay and Mr Marshall, while Mr J. J. W. Pollard was elected an hon. member of the club. The winner of the River Scenic competition was Miss M. Scott. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr R. A. Edwards for judging prints and Messrs A. M. Macdonald and W. J. Ferguson for giving demonstrations during the year. The annual report stated that the year had been very successful, the membership having increased considerably and the monthly competitions having been keenly contested. Several field days were held, the members being rewarded with good weather and profitable results. The enlarger -was in continual use and the committee noted with pleasure the beneficial results attained thereby. Demonstrations were given at intervals during the year.
