EMPIRE DAY. CELEBRATIONS IN LONDON. PAGEANT IN HYDE PARK. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, May 24. Empire Day was celebrated in brilliant weather. A huge crowd witnessed the Empire pageant in Hyde Park. Ten thousand children with banners marched past Prince Albert, who took the salute. The children v.cie chosen from the Boy and Girl Scouts, Church Lads’ Brigade and Dr Barnardo’s Homos. Lord Meath and Lord Milner ami the High Commissioners were present at the saluting base.
PRINCE HENRY,. SUCCESSES AT UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT. LONDON. May 23. (Received May 23, 8.30 p.m.) Prince Henry won the cup for tent pegging at. the Oxford aml Cambridge Tournament at Olympia. He was the only com petitor to make ail three pegs. He .also rode in the winning Cambridge team in the riding and jumping competitions.
