(Received May 20, 12.25 a.m.) The strikers arc returning to work on the railways and at ports. Practically all coasting vessels have resumed, and there are .several other indications that the strike is collapsing. The Gasworks Union has ordered provincial branches to resume work. The failure of the strike is provoking violent discussions in Syndicalist circles. BROKEN HILL STRIKE. BOARD OF TRADE TO ADJUDICATE. SYDNEY, May 19. The Government has appointed the Board of Trade to adjudicate in the Broken Hill strike dispute which has lasted twelve months and involved a loss of £1,204,000 in wages.
