THURSDAY 7 , MAY' 20, 1920. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC IN REGARD TO THE CLOSING OF PUBLIC STREETS AND CONTROLLING OF TRAFFIC. THE ROYAL ROUTE. 'THE Route which the Royal Party will follow will bo- roped on each side from the Railway Station to the A. and P. Association Grounds, via the Crescent, Dee street (west side only!, and Victoria ■'.venue. Movable ropes will be placed at all intersection streets on the route. Officials will be in attendance to remove these ropes in case of emergency. Pedestrian Traffic and Space Reserved for the Public. With the exception of the roped-in space at the Railway Station, tho Royal Route, and crossings on the west side of Dee street, all footpaths and roads will be available for pedestrians and onlookers. This will apply to the several occasions on which the Royal Party will pass through the streets. Vehicular Traffic. No vehicular traffic, other than the Official Motor Cars, will lie allowed in Leven street, from Gala street to the south side lof the Crescent; in the Crescent from I 1.-iddcl street to Dee street; in Dee street, i from Tny street .south to Earnrlnw street | south, between the hours of 1.30 p.m. and I ,5.30 p.m., and 8 p.m. to .10.30 p.m. j Tramcnrs as arranged with the Tramway Department. | In cases of extreme emergency and at ! the discretion of the Marshal (Mr W. B. O'Toole i and Assistants, or the Police authorities, vehicles may be allowed to crose the route at the intersecting streets during the above hours, but on no pretence what ever will vehicles bo allowed to pass north cr south along Deo street. Where Motor Vehicles may be Parked. Motor vehicles, may, at their owners’ risk and subject to tho conditions mentioned hereunder, be parked in the following streets east of Dee streetTay, Esk. The attention of the public is hereby drawn to tho fact that the use of verandahs and Balconies over Footways for accommodating persons on the roof thereof is PROHIBITED. Any per son permitting the use of Verandahs and Balconies for such purposes is liable to Prosecution for a Breach of the Borough By-laws. Those, making arrangements for sightseeing in connection with the forthcoming visit of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales are requested to take particular notice of this intimation. F. BURWELL.
