Addresses will he presented, j INSPECTION of Returned Sailors, Soldiers, Nurses and Veteran?, Territorials and Cadets. PRESENTATION of Service Decorations. GRAND RALLY OF SCHOOL CHILDREN —SOOO expected. GARRISON HALL, 8 p.m.—A Grand Public Reception will be tendered to His Royal Highness and Party. Programme of music by Invercargill Orphans’ Club Orchestra., Invercargill Male Choir and Hibernian Band. THURSDAY, MAY 20, 1920. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC IN REGARD TO THE CLOSING OF PUBLIC STREETS AND CONTROLLING OF TRAFFIC. THE ROYAL ROUTErT,HE Route which the Royal Party will ■*" follow will be roped on each ride from the Railway Station to the A. and P. Association Ground?, via the Crescent, Dee street (west side only), anil Victoria Avenue. Movable ropes will be placed at all intersection streets on the route. Officials will be in attendance to remove these ropes in case of emergency. Pedestrian Traffic and Space Reserved for the Public. With the exception of the roped-in space at the Railway Station, the Royal Route, and crossings on the west side of Dee street, all footpaths and roads will Ire available for pedestrians and onlookers. This will apply to the several occasions on which the Royal Party will puss through the streets. Vehicular Traffic. No vehicular traffic, other than the Official Motor Cars, will be allowed in Levon street, from Gala street to the south tide of the Crescent; in the Crescent from Liddel street to Dee street ; in Dee street from Tay street south to Farnslnw i-lr-eel I south, between the hours of 1.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., and S p.m. to 10.30 p.m. Tramcars as arranged with the Tramway Dcp artmont. In cases of extreme emergency and at the discretion of the Marshal (Mr W. I>. O’Toole) and Assist ants, or the Police authorities, vehicles may be allowed to cross the route at the intersecting streets during the above hours, but on no pretence whatever will vehicles be allowed to pass north or south along Dec street. Where Motor Vehicles may be Parked. Motor vehicles, may, at their owners’ risk and subject to the conditions mentioned hereunder, be parked in the following streets east of Dec street; —Tay, Esk, Don. “v, Lcet, and Gala streets__( south ( side only). ' N(. w.ocles can be allowed in \ arrow street. Victoria Avenue, or in Dee street between Victoria Avenue anil Earnslaw ) .street south. Vehicles are. to ho placed with j referred to above, from 1.30 to 10.30 p.m., excepting at the discretion of Officials. Vehicles Plying for Hire. The above regulal ions apply in every particular to vehicles plying for hire as far as the areas mentioned above are concerned. Such vehicles, however, may take up stand in Tay street north, extending j from one chain east of Dee street towards I Kelvin street. ! ' The attention of the public is hereby drawn to the fact that the use of verandahs ant! Balconies over Footways for accommodating persons on the roof thereof is PROHIBITED. Any person permitting the use of Verandahs and Balconies for such purposes is liable to Prosecution for a Breach of the Borough By-laws. Those making arrangements for sightseeing in connection with the forthcoming visit of his Royal Highness tire Prince of Wales are requested to take particular notice of this intimation. F.
