SCHOOL COMMITTEES

MEETINGS OF HOUSEHOLDERS. Fortress.—About five householders were present and Mr K. G. McKenzie presided. The roll number for the school is 46 and the average attendance for the year was 40.4. The annual statement showed a credit balance of £ll Os 2d. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year; —Messrs K. G. McKenzie (chairman;, A. McEweu (secretary -1 , T. Golden. J. Riddle and D. Hurle. At Gladfield only two householders were present and no committee was elected. The former committee retains office in the meantime.
