COMMITTEE REPORTS. The following committee reports will be considered at to-morrow night’s meeting of the Town Council:— PUBLIC WORKS. The committee recommends: That as petrol is being commonly used throughout the town, it is notified that the Council will rigidly enforce the by-laws re storage of dangerous goods ; that the corporation carters' rate of pay be increased to 20s per day ; that a taxi driver’s license be granted to Thomas Bryan on the usual conditions; that applications be invited for a clerk to the public works department, salary £201) per annum, the appointment to ho made when the new offices are ready.
