FIRES
DRAPERY STORE DESTROYED,

AUCKLAND, May 14,
G. O. Blakey’s drapery store, a large twostoried building in Dominion road, and the contents were totally destroyed by fire last night. The damage amounts to some thousands of pounds. The insurances are; South British Office, £950 on the building; London and Lancashire, £2OO on the stock. The estimated loss exceeds these figures by £4500.
