Elizugcth Tinntlly (Mr IV J. Amedeo), and Miss J. i Fhrfiupton (Mr F. D. Sargent), after very mildly castigating each other, provided a dramatic termination of their case. The bone of contention was a house which was occupied by Miss Shrimpton, but which was owned and desired for her own use, by Mrs Tinnelly. The Magistrate (Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M.), was disinclined to believe the plaintiff’s story, and gave judgment against her. Proceedings now assumed an unusual turn. The defendant smiled broadly, ejaculaled something to her friends in the rear of the court, watched the plaintiff with excited eyes for a second, and then swooned. .Meanwhile, the plaintiff walked up to the bench and muttered something about untruths. “I won’t listen to you! You musn’t apeak to me!” Mr McCarthy insisted. “Your Worship! Your Worship!” protested the plaintiff. “You must not speak to me!” exclaimed Mr McCarthy with determination. This put a sudden stop to the litigant’s flow of eloquence, and rather crestfallen, sire made a slow retreat. Sixty doses of “NAZOL” cost only 1/6.
