THE HAYNE CASE

AN ADJOURNMENT REFUSED. (Per United ’’res? Association.) WELLINGTON, May 14. At the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Justice Henlman rdu.-cd an application for an adjournment of the third trial of James Reynold Hayne, and Norman Neylon, for the alleged unlawful use of an instrument. The application was made on behalf of Mr Wilfoni, who has not returned from a trip to America. Mr Justice Henlman said accused had had sufficient time to bring fresh counsel. The case will be heard next Tuesday.
