UKRAINIAN WHEAT
PURCHASE BY FRANCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK. May 13. (Received May 14, 5.20 p.m.) A New York Times’ despatch from Paris announces that France expects to get the Ukrainian surplus wheat supply, which will fill the gap until next year. Ships await the reopening of the ports to transport the grain to France. Payment will be made in the very depreciated Polish and Rumanian money, which will improve French exchange.
