A CHILD LULLED. STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR. (Per United Press Association.) WHANGAREI, May 13. Madge Finch, aged five years, the daughter of Mr R. S. Finch, surveyor, was kiiled instantly at Mill road this afternoon. When emerging from behind a motor car she was struck by the splashboard of another car driven by Dr Campbell, who did Ills utmost to avert a collision. CAUGHT IN BELTING. DANNEVIRKE, May 13. William J. Wiseman, who was caught up in the beltixig and whirled round the shafting at the Dannevirke Woodware Company’s factory on Tuesday morning, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
