ANNUAL RETURNS. ALL ROUND INCREASES. » (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 13. The railway returns for the financial year ended March 31 last are published in the Gazette. They show that the revenue during the year amounted to £5,752,487, and the expenditure to £4,105,067. The proportion of expenditure to revenue was 71.36 per cent., against 66.32 for last year. The number of season tickets increased from 351,124 to 400,621. The stock carried by the railways during the year numbered 7,074,532, an increase of 636,228. The poods traffic increased by 358,775 tons, the total for the year being 5,597,232 tons. The minerals included in this total showed a decrease of 143,247 tons, due to the reduced production of coal frem the mines.
