LOANS FOR CHINA

THE CONSORTIUM ARRANGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, May 11. (Received May 11, 9.50 p.m.) The State Department formally announced that the Chinese consortium has been finally organised on the basis suggested by the United States banking groups in England, France, Japan and the United States. It will be organised, receiving diplomatic support from their respective governments. The loans will be subject to the approval of the governments. It is understood that the first loan to China will be 50,000,000 dollars.
