Received May 11, 1.50 a.m.) The sculler McDevitt, after defeating Syd Kemp, challenged Charlie Towns to row for the championship of New South. Wales. Towns declined on the ground of his age, and handed the championship to McDevitt, who has now arranged to row Ripley, of Newcastle, on the Paramatta for the championship.
