INFLUENZA

AUCKLAND NOTIFICATIONS. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 10. A total of 307 cases of influenza were reported during the 48 hours ended at noon to-day, nine being severe. Of these 110 mild and one severe occurred in the city, and 115 mild and four severe in the subfa urbs. During the 24 hours ended Saturday 105 cases, including 15 severe, were reported. CASES ON STEAMERS. CHRISTCHURCH. May 10. A fireman on the Wahine was found on Saturday evening to be suffering from influenza, and was removed to the Christchurch Hospital. The firemen’s quarters on the Wahine were subsequently fumigated and other sleeping accommodation was found for the men before sailing to-night. The second steward of the Paloopa, also suffering from influenza, was admitted to the Hospital.
