MORE HUNGER STRIKERS RELEASED,

Thirty-two mom Sinn Fein hunger strikers have been released from Belfast gaol, thirteen from Cork and 42 from Wormwood Scrubs- The latter have been foodless for from fourteen to eighteen days. Two hundred men armed with rifles, shotguns and bombs attacked the police barracks at Cloyne. A sergeant and five constables repelled the attack, despite the bombs partially demolishing the building. Eventually the barracks were set on fire. The garrison took refuge in adjoining houses which were also set on fire. One constable was seriously injured. It is believed one raider was killed.

LONDON, May 10. (Received May 10, 8225 p.m.) Redmond, a Mountjoy hunger striker, who was released on April 15, died under an operation for appendicitis. The Sinn Feiners insist that he is a martyr. CATTLE DRIVING IN THE WEST. CONTINUOUS OUTRAGES. (United Service.) LONDON, May 10. (Received May 10, 10.40 p.m.) Cattle driving in the west of Ireland ia rife. The roads are covered with wandering stock, and warning notices are posted deterring the public from assisting fanners to collect their stock. The raids continue hourly, armed bands motoring over the country compelling farmers to give up their farms or driving off the stock.
