The train pulled up to water vht engine before reaching the station and then proceeded before the crowd of 1500 could reach the Royal carriage, the Prince acknowledging thcf cheers from the platform. As the engine could have watered at the tank at the other side of the station, leaving the Royal carriage in close proximity to the platform, the keenest indignation was expressed by the disappointed crowd. A public meeting last night passed a motion expressing profound disgust at the studied opposition of the responsible officials to the people’s loyal desire to greet their future sovereign.
