D. Macrorie, auctioneer, reports the sale of allotment 5, Harewood Estate, half an acre, for £40.

O. P. Martin and Co. report :— On Saturday last we held a sale of wool and sheepskins in our roams, which attracted a very 'fair attendance, but prices ruled considerably lower than last season. We sold 4 bales greasy crossbred, of superior quality, at 12Jd ; 2 bales merino, lid j 1 do do, lOd ; locks and pieces, 3d to 5d per lb. Sheepskins. — Dried merino skins brought from 3d to 4d per lb ; do crossbred, 6i. All the above lots were light well -conditioned wools. Several bates of crossbred, of slightly inferior quality, were passed at an offer of Is. In store sheep and cattle there are very few transactions taking place. For full-mouthed merino wethers, sellers ask ss ; do ewes, 4s ; but buyers are inclined to wait until shearing is over, in anticipation of their being lower when there - are more in the market. Store bullocks are in demand at about £3 10s ; spayed cows, £2 15s to £3 ; mixed lota, 425. The demand for all descriptions of properties remains good. We have Bold sections 16 and 17, block 1, Winton Hundred, about 24C acres, at 60s per acre, cash. lnvercargill, 4th December, 1873. DUNEDIN. Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending 29th November, 1873, as follows : — Fat Cattle. — The number yarded, 130 head, was considerably beyond the requirements of the trade, and a decline of fully 5s per lOOlbs had in consequence to be submitted to. We sold on account of Messrs Lindsay and Forgnn 36 head at from £7 15s to 211 Ss 6d for bullocks, and £5 10s to £13 for cows ; prices equal to 25s per lOOlbs for prime quality, and 20s lor medium do. 35 head were turned out unsold. Fat Sheep.— The full supply of 1,050 was penned. We sold on account of Messrs Shand, Beid, and Williamson, 500, as follows :— 340 half-breds at from 10s 6d to 12s, and 160 merino wethers at 7s. We also sold privately 600 merino ewes, in wool, at 3^d per lb. We quote prime quality mutton at 2£d per lb. Fat Lambs. — The demand has somewhat abated, and prices are not so firm. We sold at auction and privately 365, i*t from 5s to lis 3d each. Store Cattle. — There still exists a good demand for grown cattle. We quote bullocks, 3 to 5 years, £4 10s to £5 10s ; cows, £3 10s to £4 Store Sheep. — We have enquiries for half-bred ewes and wethers. We quote half-breds, 8s to 9s ; merino wethers, 4s 6d to ss. Horses. — There is an excellent demand for all descriptions. We quote first-class draughts, £65 to £70; medium do, £35 to £45; good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £30 ; medium do, £14 to £20 ; light and inferior, £3 to £6. Wool.— The latest London advices received per Claud Hamilton, under date of 14th Nov., are as follows : — " The wool market continues firm. The wool sales commenced on the 27th inst., and up to date 42,000 bales have arrived." Sheepskins. — There was a full attendance at «rar gale on Wednesday, but the biddings were languid, and prices obtained showed s slight decline in values. We sold butchers' green skins, half breds, 6s each ; merinos, 5s to 5s 4d ; dry ! station skins, half breds, 5a to 5s 8d ; merinos, 2s 9d to 4s Bd. Hides are in fair demand, and well-conditioned parcels command full rates. We sold medium weights at from 17s 6d to 18s, light at 16s each. Grain. — Wheat is dull of sale. The millers having full supplies in hand, are buying sparingly. We quote first-ch\ss samples 5b to 5s 2d per bushel) inferior, 4s to 4s 6d. Oats aie offering more freely. We quote milling samples 4s 2d to 4s 3d ; feed, 4s to 4s Id per bushel.
