Admiral Sir Hastings Yelverton has surrendered the insurgent frigates Vittoria and Almanda to the Spanish Government. The insurgents' frigates bave returned to Alicante, and threatened a bombardment of the town. Further fighting has taken place in the north of Spain between the Carlists and tbe Government troops, in which the latter were outnumbered, and retreated. Sept. 28. The insurgents' frigates ruthlessly bombarded Alicante, and were then compelled to withdraw, because they were damaged^
