John Kelly, charged with drunkenness, was fined 208, or in default 48 hours' imprisonment, he having: been convicted of the like offence on the pve?iou« dny. Martin Balloran ns an habiMial drunkard, was sent to gaol for two months he having on the previous dav been discharged from prison after serving one month for drunkenness. Monday, Sppt 22. James Henry Stevens was charged with obj£: taining goods to the value of £9 from Messrs J. and M. Hyams by false pretences At the request of the police, the case was remanded until Thursday, 25th inst. John Kelly, charged with biivg rhunk on the street on Sunday evening last, being the third offence within a week, was fined 40s or 48 hours' imprisonment. James Christie, charged with drunkenness, was, it being a first offence, fined 5s or 24 hours' imprisonment.
