An encounter took place, when the Turcomans were 1 defeated. Colonel Stuart, and the crew of the steam yacht Det-rhound, laden with arms 1 for the Carlists, and captured by the Republican Government, have been sent for i 1 trial to Ferrol, in the Proviuce of Ga- ! licia. An Arab dhow has been captured in the Indian Ocean by H.M.S. Daphne. The dhow had originally started with 300 slaves, but at the time of the seizure only ; 50 were alive. The othera had died from small pox. Several cases of cholera have occurred in Paris. The fusion of the Orleanists and Legitimists is now considered hopeless.
