Auckland, .Tune 13. A woman named Maria Bandell died in the horrors in the cemetery. A charge of conspiracy to defraud, entered against Mr Macfarlane, the Provisional Trustee in Bankruptcy, and Mr H.John Lamb, miller, is now proceeding. The prosecutor, Mnchattie, alleges that the defendants conspired to prove a debt of £822 against his estate, knowing that no such debt existed. A charge of perjury has also been laid against the same defendants. "Wellington, June 13. Mr Thomas liussell telegraphs to the Government, via Melbourne, announcing his arrival at San Francisco. He was about to proceed to New York. Mr William Gray, who accompanied him, was too ill to stand the railway journey. Cheistchuech, June 13. Flour, £13 to £14; wheat, 5s 6d ; oats, 5s 6d ; hams, 10d ; bacon, B|d to 9d. Messrs Eoyse, Stead, and Co. quote wheat 4s 9d to 5s f. o. b. ; flour, £11 10 a to £12 ; milling oats, 4s 9d to 5s f. o. b. Geetmouth, June 13. The Mayors and Borough Councils of Hokitika and Greymouth met the Governor outside the Grey bar, and presented addresses of welcome. The Governor replied in pleasing terms.
