IN pursuance of "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1870," I Walter Henry Pearson, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Invercargill, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 26th day of April, 1873, under the public seal of the Colony, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, Invercargill, at noon on the 20th day of May, 1873 ; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken on Thursday, the 22nd day of Slay, 1878.
