INTERCOLONIAL. Melbourne, April 26. The Italian war frigate Garibaldi, with the Duke of Genoa, nephew of King Victor Emmanuel, on board, arrived in Hobsou's Bay on 25th April. Felix Kabat, stock-broker, has been committed for trial on the charge of uttering a forged bill of exchange. The bill is alleged to have been altered by Kabat from £100 15s 6d to £400 15s 6d, after it had been accepted by the Hon. Nicholas Fitzgerald, M.L.C. A gas explosion took place on 25th April in a house in Elizabeth-Btreet, by which a boy was seriously burnt, and the slate roof of the house lifted two or three inches.
