Z The fore-and-aft schooner Nancy returned on j the 26th insfc. from a cruise up the West Coast, t coming alongside the jetty early on Saturday morning, having been previously anchored at New Biver Heads on Friday at noon. Sailing 1 from Greymouth with original cargo for i Martin's Bay, and coals, on Monday, the , 14th inst., Bhe arrived at Martin's Bay on , Sunday, 20th inst. Anchored at the Boat Harbor, got under weigh at 2 a.m. on Monday, I and was safely piloted into the Hollyford River 1 the same morning at daylight. She then dis- i charged cargo for the settlers there, and tran- j eacting other business was towed out by a Bottler's boat at 8 p.m., meeting a light but fair wind. She went down the Coast until becalmed at the Solanders on Wednesday. Half a gale of wind springing up brought her abreast of Ruggedy < Point, wkence ehe beat up with head winds to j the New Birer Heads, with very cloudy weather : and rain, as previously stated. It is worthy of remark that the Nancy is the firet sailing vessel \ that has entered and left the Martin's Bay ■ettlemeut in safety, there being considerable ] difficulty in accomplishing thii without the aid | of steam. '
