G. F. Martin & Co. report : — On Wednesday, the 16th uut., we held a sale of sheep at the auction yards which was well attended and satisfactory prices realized. 300 i and $ bred ewes were soli i . lots, and brought from 12s to 12s 9d ; crossbred ewe lambs, 7s ; do ram lambs, 5s 6d to 7s 6d ; 108 } bred ewet, full-mouthed, Bs. We sold half-bred Lincoln and Leicester rams, at from £3 2s 6d to £4, and on account of Kobt. Hamilton, hsq., pure bred Leicester rams, 2 tooth, at from £4 15s to £6 10s. We have also placed privately 1200 merino ewes, full and broken mouths, at 4s 3d ; 900 do, sound mouths, at 4s 6d. We still hare considerable enquiry for sheep of this class, and have just placed several lots under offer. Store Cattle. — We have no transactions to report, "but there is a better demand for growu cattle tor fattening purposes. Hors s. — lhe sale held in the yards on Saturday last, drew a good attendance, and 10 head sold at the following prices : — Light hacks Irom £12 to £12 10s ; unbroken colts anJ fillies, £6 15s to £8 10i , 2 year old, by • Tom King," £14 10s; liglit draughts, £7 to £18 10s.
