"FIAT JUSTITIA."
* (TO THE EDITOR OV THE TIMES.) Sib, — Your correspondent " Fiat Justitia" is evidently a smart man, but with his smartness he combines very much more of " old fogeyism," or he would not have assigned to a " Schoolmasters' Association* the position of respondents in a newspaper controversy ? Indeed the prevalent, though possibly irreverent idea, in reference to the said " Association," is identical with that of the late Mrs Betsy Prig in the Sairey Gamp controversy, " I don't believe there aint no sich a thing." All believers in its existence, except perhaps " Fiat Justitia," regard ie as '* a nose of wax." You know the hue, " Fools rush iv where angels fear to tread," and " Fiat Justitia" would have us infer that the unlucky wight who, not being a schoolmaster nor member of a school committee, dared to meddle with matters scholastic, belongs to the former class, and the inference follows that the " Association" are th» angels who fear to tread on the dangerous ground.— l am, &c, OUTBIDBB,
