A NUISANCE.
TO THB EDITOB OP THB TIMBS. Slß,— There is a nuisance existing at present connected with the Woodlands Meat Preserving Works, viz., swarms of pigs going about the road which passes the works towards Flemington Bush. Now, having to pass that locality at least twice a week, I find it rather difficult to persuade my horse, even with whip and spurs, to venture along ; indeed several times I have been nearly tossed from the saddle, by my horse suddenly noticing a pig among the grass at one side of the road, while it was cautiously watching another a little in advance. Could you therefore inform me if it is legal for persons to allow such animals to stray about a main highway, when it is well known by every one who knows anything about horses that these animals are terrified for pigs ? — Yours, &0., HoBSEMAN.
