Sib, — I. saw a notice on Saturday in Pee street leading persons to suppose the Municipal Corporation ohjtMsted to " Night Auction Sales," and on enquiry I heard that a " conversation" had taken place at the last meeting of Council on the subjeot. I wonder if they ever read the " Amendment Act," changing the hours t;o " from 9 a.m. to 9 p m.," or if they, fancy that the collection of that revenue, derivable from licenses authorises their interference with Government. Acts? I ask from cnrioßity. Perhaps, Mr Editor, you can tell me whether they could make bye-laws on such a question ?— -I ant, &c, Abgxts. Jan. 20, 1873.
