Tbe Germania, an Atlantic steamer of the Allan line, has been wrecked, and thirty lives lost. New York, Dec. 24. A railway accident has occurred in Pennsylvania from the carriages of a train catching fire. Nineteen persons were killed and thirty-five injured. Berlin, Dee. 24. An IniDerial rescript relieves Prince Bismarck from the premiership, but requires that he still continue to confer with the Emperor on Imperial matters and questions of foreign policy. Prince Bistn uvk still retains a voice ia tbe Cabinet Councils. Rome, Dec. 24. The Pope, in addressing twenty two Cardinals, alluded to the continued oersecution of the Church, especially in Italy. He strong y assailed Germany, where, be said, pitfalls had been laid and violence and calumny bad been etnployel to destroy the Church. Paris, Dec. 24. The Bill for tha restitution of the property of the Orleans princes bas passed the Aaaembly. Rome, Dec. 25. It is stated that the Khivana have summoned auxiliary tribes to act against Russia. The Czarowitz is suffering from typhus fever. London, Dec. 25. The Allanto (?) steamship, has sailed for Melbourne. The November mails have been delivered. Wheat is inactive. 200,000 quarters were lost during the recent storm. A Bill has been laid before the Spanish Cortes for emancipating the slaves at Porto Rico. Dec. 26. The Great Britain has arrived after a passage of 03 days. Captain Gray committed suicide by jumping overboard wben the vessel was 30 days out. The mail via San Francisco has been delivered. The Somersetshire, steamship, bas sailed for Melbourne. Capt. Hunter's certificate has been suspended for twelve months for negligence in the loss of the Royal Adelaide. Dec. 27. The Bebar arrived at Galle on the 26th. Reuter denies the truth of the rumors from St. Petersburg tbat Lord Loftus, the English amhassador, had delivered a note to Prince Gortsohakoff, announcing tbe resolution of tbe British Government to refrain from interfering with the Russians in Central Asia, provided their operations do not menace Afghanistan. The Khivans have invaded Central Aaia with a force of 9000 men, besieging the forts of Attemha Russian reinforooments have been hastily forwarded. The Czxrowitz is better.
