The Storm Bird sailed for Dunedin on Saturday night, and the brigantine Ottawa and barque Celestia on Sunday morning for Lyttelton. The three vessels took 306,000 feet of sawn timber from -this port. The Ironside, Captain Vaux, R.N.R., arrived at the Heads on Sunday morning, and was brought up and made fast to the wharf yesterday morning. The Ironside is a first-class iron ship of 899 tons register, built at Sunderland. She will take about 5000 bales of wool, and judging from her appearance, her outward cargo will be delivered at its destination speedily and in good condition. The Alhambra left Hobson's Bay on the 9th instant at 2 p.m. ; passed the Heads at 5.30 p.m. and Wilson's promontory at 5 a.m. on the 10th, arriving off Hokitika at 5.30 a.m. on the 15th inst ; had strong southerly gales *with high sea «»d 4hiok— rainy- weacher on the- paseago. Discharged cargo and passengers, and proceeded to Grermouth, embarked more passengers, and left for Nelson at 9.45 p.m. on the 15th, arriving at 5 p.m. on the 16th ; left again at 11.30 on the 18th, arriving at Wellington at 10 p.m. same night j left for Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 19th, arriving at 7 a.m. on the 20th ; left for Dunedin at 6.40 p.m. same day, arriving at 1.30 p.m. on the 21st ; left for Bluff at 4.30 p.m. on the 22nd, arriving, after a fine passage, at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
