CUSTOMS RETURNS. The following has been collected as Ou«tom§ "Revenue daring the week ending Saturday, November 2nd: —

D. Macrorie, auctioneer, reports :— A good attendance was secured at the Albion Yards on Saturdaj, but there was but little demand for horses, only one lot passing the ham - mer. The grass seeds, an imported assortment, had been tested previous to aale, «nd were disposed of under that report, which in most cases showed a falling off in the general average, excepting in two descriptions, in which an overplus was obtained. The prices I secured were as follows : — , cocksfoot, 8d per lb, white clover, 6d ; alsjke, B}d ; cowgrass, 12Jd ; sheep's fescue, 3f d ; ■weet vernal, 6d ; Essex dwarf rape, 9d ; and gorse, 2s 6id ; five samples were unsold aud are now in my hands to quit by private treaty. lhere was a languid market for pigs, 10s being the price I obtained for pure Berkshire 10 week*' old, but all changed hands. In the rooms the afternoon sale of boots and drapery goods commanded keen competition, but the final rates were not encouraging to shippers, and the evening aale was still less animated, but in order to give those a chance to suit themselves by private treaty, I continued the sale at slight advance* on auction prices, and purpose during the week to continue the same for one day prior to another auction on Saturday. Albion Yards, 4th November, 1872.
