ITrEsrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report, for the wrek ending October 12th, as follows : — Fat Cattle. — There -was a bare market, and extreme rates were obtained for good quality. 55 head were yarded, of which wo sold 48 hea'i, at from £5 17s fid to £13 17s fid for bullocks, and £5 153 to £7 17s 6d for cows». We quote, priire quality, 303 p<=r lOOlbs, middling: do, 235. Fab Sheep. — A full eupply bad the effect of oVpressrngr priws. 1145 head were penned. We Fold 125 half-bred*, fair quality, at from 15s to 18b fid, and privately. 200 merino wethers, good qtfality, at 15s. Othpr sales were —2so halfbreds.at from Ifis to 18s 6d ; 70 merinoes, at 14s 3d. 700 merinoes were turned, out. We quote prime quality half-breds, 4£d per 1b ; do merinoes, 4d. Store Cattle. — Well-grown cattle have an enquirj for paddock fattening. We quote bullocks, 3 to 5 years, £3 10s ; mixed cattle, 45s to 555. Store Sheep. — We have no sales to report. We hare in our hands 5000 very superior store •wethers for delivery south. Horses. — The demand continues good for heavy draughts and hor3es adapted for coaching and cab purposes. We sold, ex Waratah, from Launceston, on account of Mr R. Symons, 38 head heavy draught mares and geldings, at from £30 to £43 ; anc? a Cljdeedale entire horse at £250. Also, ex Claud. Hamilton, from Melbourne, the follow ivg lots: On account of Mr Alexr. lir.rit — 20 heavy draughts at from £32 to £55 ; on account of Mr Wm. Thomson — 12 heavy draughts at from £35 to £50, and the Clydesdale entire horse Marquis at £125 ; and on account of Mr John Barclay — 6 draught colts at from £30 to £46. We quote first-class draughts £50 to £55 ; medium do, £25 to £35 j good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £30 ; medium do, £10 to £14 ; light and inferior, £3 to £5. Wool, Sheepskins, &c. — At our weekly sale on Wednesday last, thne was a large attendance of buyers, and tbe bi 'ding was yery spirited, especially for well- woolkd skins, which fetched very full rates. We offered and sold a fe-nr bales washed wool, 1500 sheepskins and hides, aB follows: — Washed half-bre'J wool, 19i I per lb ; do merino do, 18d ; half-bred sheepskins, 10 Jd per lb, and 6s 2d to 8s 8d each ; merino do, 3s 5d to 5s 9ii each ; hides, 18s 6d each. Grain. — The market has been devoid of animation, transactions being very limited in amount. We quote wheat, good samples, os 3d to 5s 4d per busbel ; oats, 23 per bushel for feed, and 2s Id to 2s 3'l for milling samples.
