The Swan, Martin, & Co.'s reaper was bid to £i 9, and withdrawn at this, but I subsequently received an eligible offer on terms. Though the conditions of sale of the Boyal Oak fully protected a purchaser as to title.no sale was effected, owing to the intimidation of. the occupant as regards possession The sales, next door to the Southern Cross, showed a considerable^ increase in the amount of goods changing hands, and the prices of the previous week were fully sustained.
