The s.B. Pretty Jane left the jetty on Tuesday afternoon, bnt was detained to a lute hour next day by the strong south-west wind which prevailed. Considerable additions have lately been made to fne pasßenger accommodation of this handsome Httle steamer. A new cabin has been built on tho main deck, calculated to hold 18 pessengers, 10 in the eentwl ~~J © «£» smaller apartment used as a ladiea cabin. Ine fore cabin will carry 10 steerage. The Pretty Jane is the property of Messrs Wntherspoon, of Glftfcfrov, proprietors of the Meat Preserving Works. She is 90 tons register, and fitted with twin screws, dri»en by two engines of 3a horse power e&mb : .ne<L She arrived in New Zealand aben* 18 months ago, and since thit time has been fated vith a new boiler and connecting shafts, and the engines have been thoroughly repaired. Sho is now being worked by the Harbor Company.
